I’m a storyteller not a salesperson. While I am well-versed in the screenplay structure methods featured in Save the Cat!, The Writer’s Journey, The Screenwriter’s Workbook, and Screenwriting: The Sequence Approach, I simply consider these helpful tools in embarking on your first draft or navigating your 12th rewrite. For some people, these texts are essential. For others, they are trivial. The most important thing to understand: You get to make your own rules based on what works for you as an artist and as a person.
I will help you get to the next step by listening, giving thoughtful, focused feedback, and by understanding which artistic goals are most valuable to you. I do not believe in “tough love.” I believe in being a clear, concise, supportive voice in your process, whatever that may be.
